About Slippage

Slippage exists because most crypto-trading content is built to make you trade more, not to tell you the truth. It leads with a chart, sells a strategy or a bot, and buries the fact that most active traders lose money. We built this site to do the reverse: state the base-rate reality first, explain the mechanics and costs honestly, and only then help the minority who will trade anyway choose a reputable platform.

What we do and refuse to do

We explain how crypto trading works and compare platforms on merit; we do not predict prices, pick coins, or sell strategies. Queries like “what coin will 10×” or “best crypto trading strategy” get reframed here into honest education — how the costs work, why the odds are what they are, and how to lose less — because turning a dangerous question into a careful answer is the whole point of the site. We publish no signals, run no bots, and treat leverage, margin and futures only as warnings.

How we handle facts

Every fee, regulatory and market claim on this site is dated and framed as published or observed, not promised. Fees and availability change constantly and differ by country and product, so we tell you where a number comes from and when we checked it (most recently September 2026), and we ask you to verify the current terms yourself before acting. We do not fabricate fee tables, run “we tested” claims we did not test, or present any outcome as guaranteed.

How we make money, and why it doesn’t bend the verdict

The honest baseline we lead with — for most people, don’t actively trade; buy a little and hold — earns us nothing, and we name reputable no-commission options like Bitstamp where they are the right call.
